Mitsu Chem Plast Limited Announces ~3,550 MT/Year Capacity Addition to Support Sustainable Growth

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 12: Mitsu Chem Plast Limited (BSE: 540078), a leading certified manufacturer of polymer-based molded products, has announced a further expansion of its manufacturing capacity by 3,550 MT/Year. The capacity addition is aimed at supporting the Company’s sustained growth, product diversification, and ability to meet increasing customer demand.

Key Highlights of the Capacity Addition: 

  • Existing manufacturing capacity: 32,450+ MT/Year 
  • Existing capacity utilization: 64% for the year ended March 31, 2026 
  • Proposed capacity addition: 3,550 MT/Year 

Expanding Capacity to Support Sustainable Growth: 

The proposed capacity addition marks another important step in Mitsu Chem Plast’s ongoing expansion strategy. By increasing its manufacturing capacity, the Company aims to strengthen its ability to cater to growing demand across its diversified customer base and support its long-term growth plans.

With existing capacity utilization at 64%, the planned expansion will provide additional manufacturing headroom, enabling the Company to respond efficiently to increasing market requirements while supporting opportunities for product diversification. The investment in new machinery is expected to enhance the Company’s manufacturing capabilities and strengthen its operational platform.

The capacity addition will further enable Mitsu Chem Plast to serve its OEM customers across sectors including chemical, pharmaceutical, agrochemical, healthcare, infrastructure and allied industries, while supporting the Company’s focus on delivering quality products and meeting evolving customer requirements.

The Company continues to expand its product portfolio, including pail containers and GL 45 caps, while strengthening its presence in healthcare through its dedicated Furnastra brand for hospital furniture parts.

In FY26, Mitsu Chem Plast reported Total Income of ₹ 35,084.56 Lakhs, with an EBITDA of ₹ 3,466.31 Lakhs and a Net Profit of ₹ 1,561.87 Lakhs.
