Ankita Goyal receives the Startup Women Entrepreneur of the Year Award.

Surat, July 29: Ankita Goyal, Co-founder of Fashionova Design Studio LLP & Institute of Design and Technology (IDT), has been awarded the Startup Women Entrepreneur of the Year award by the South Gujarat Chamber of Commerce- SGCCI.

Ankita firmly believes that academics and industry need to go hand in hand for a thriving career in Design in today’s age. As a result of her impressive business acumen, IDT and Fashionova both have gained national and international recognition for their innovation in the field of Design.

IDT has also gained the appreciation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi through acknowledgment in Mann ki Baat. Former Textile Minister Smriti Irani has personally appreciated it on multiple occasions.

Ankita Goyal was also selected for the Women Startup Program, launched by NSRCEL at IIM Bangalore and supported by Goldman Sachs, some of the most prestigious organisations worldwide.

IDT has become a prominent name in the fashion industry with more than ten centres across India and constant appearances in leading fashion events internationally. Its affiliations with leading fashion schools in Dubai and Italy make it an attractive choice for Fashion aspirants.

Ankita Goyal also says, ” We started Fashionova with an aim to provide a platform for young designers to enter the industry and directly meet with the industry experts which also helps the Industrialists to get a large pool of creative minds under one roof. This makes an apt combination between IDT & Fashionova to bridge the gap between aspiring designers and the industry.”
