Despite earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Amity University, Rajasthan, his true passion was always in cinema, sparked by a deep fascination with films from an early age.

During his time as a student, Yash balanced his studies with a love for dance, performing at various events. It was this experience that ignited his confidence to take a leap into acting. He began his formal training with a part-time workshop at Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares and later enhanced his skills with a two-year program at the renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York.

Yash made his mark on the screen with his role as a cinematographer in Loser Season 2, directed by Abhilash Reddy, where he shared scenes with actor Priyadarshi. Not content with just acting, Yash took a bold step into producing, bringing his short film Chitta Khoon to life under the direction of Yaman Bhatia. The film’s success was highlighted when it was officially selected for screening at Pinewood Studios’ Film Festival.

Yash’s passion for theatre also flourished, making his debut in Kaisi Ho?, directed by Deep Jangid. He continued to expand his portfolio by performing in A Sketch of New York, a comedy sketch show at the Producers Club in New York, and portraying Mahatma Gandhi in Kasturba vs Gandhi, an Off-Broadway production.

Behind the camera, Yash has lent his expertise as an assistant director for projects such as the music video Baarish Mein, directed by Elisha Asif, and the feature film The Last Vigil, directed by Vivekananda Kondapalli. Most recently, he teamed up with Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya for the film Pintu ki Pappi.

Having worked alongside celebrated figures like Brett Cullen and Catherine Curtin, Yash’s career highlights also include sharing the stage with Bollywood stars Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt during promotions for Kalank in Jaipur. His journey reflects his drive to explore every aspect of filmmaking, whether in front of or behind the camera.
